Bar admissions and memberships  

I am admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia, California, the Northern Mariana Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands.  I am also admitted to appear before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

I was  a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Islands Network from its founding in 2002 until 2006.  I am an advisor for the forthcoming PBS documentary, The Insular Empire: America’s Pacific Frontier .
